There are a lot of days in the year that are great… but none of them hit the mark quite like Transfer Deadline Day.
For all the glitz and glamour of the NFL’s Draft Day or a press conference the day before a big heavyweight boxing clash, the sheer chaos of football’s Transfer Deadline Day can never be beaten.
Harry Redknapp is sitting with his car window down somewhere with a wry smile.
It’s a bit like a supermarket sweep as the clock ticks towards the deadline and football clubs all over the country start to panic.
Could Andy Carroll be the answer? Maybe we could give Man U a call and see who they’ve got sitting around? And maybe, just maybe, we could finally get Peter Odemwingie in at QPR.
Although if any business panicked at the same level as QPR did when they told Odemwingie to drive himself down to Loftus Road, you might want to revaluate!
What’s Your Transfer Deadline Day?
Now, we’ve been talking about it a bit between us, and we wondered what that would look like in our business…
And it’s a good exercise – just think about what it would look like in your business.
The good news is that we don’t have that problem because we are the deadline maker when it comes to our business.
And it’s the same with most businesses – you might have deadlines for orders, deliveries, and getting things done, but there’s not the same last-minute panic.
But when it comes to the big things, the ball’s in your court.
If you’ve got a problem in your business that you’re looking for a solution for, you can always put it off for another day.
We’ve all been there – it can wait for tomorrow…
But the reality is that the longer we leave it, the bigger the problem becomes.
A bit like if a football club decided that they weren’t going to sign a striker this year or next year, or the year after that.
Eventually, they’re going to run into some pretty big problems.
The good news is that when it comes to your business, there’s no need to put it off, and when it comes to the big-picture stuff, we can help.
