You, Me, 2023?

2023 is just weeks away – NOW’s the time to decide what the next 12 months look like for you, your business, your family and your bank account…

It’s fair to say 2022 hasn’t exactly been what most of us were expecting.

With the threat of Covid-19 seemingly under control, this year was supposed to be the year where everything went back to normal.

But just as the threat of Omicron faded into the background, a new set of crises reared their ugly heads.

  • The invasion of Ukraine.
  • Spiralling fuel prices.
  • Rising inflation.
  • Political instability.
  • The loss of a much-loved monarch.

You name it, it’s happened in 2022, and those of us wishing once again for a calmer time in 2023 are likely to be disappointed; it’s just not going to happen.

You know as well as anyone that the turbulence that’s categorised the last six years isn’t going to calm down anytime soon.

Which presents us all with a choice: what are YOU going to do about it?

You see, when faced with uncertainty, we have a choice.

  • We can allow it to own us, and allow ourselves to be dominated by it.
  • We can blame the political turbulence for our businesses not going the way we want them to.
  • We can sigh, shake our heads and blame Liz Truss and Vladimir Putin for our woes.
  • We can take the easy excuse, and settle for a business and lifestyle that’s not as good as it could or should be.

Or we can take responsibility of all the elements that ARE under our control, and take significant actions to make sure that 2023 is the best possible year for us and the people we love.

And if you’re serious about building a business that nobly serves your market, and delivers you the lifestyle and income you want for you and the people that are most important to you, there really is only one choice.

Back in 2008 when the recession hit, we were faced with a similar binary choice.

You could take the excuse, blame the banks, and live the “woe is me” narrative, or you could double down and ensure you got out of the other side unscathed.

The same choice faces you now:

  • Bumble through 2023, keep your head down and hope that the global and national whirlwinds don’t sink you…

  • Set yourself some serious goals for next year, and get all the help you need to make them happen.

Opting for the latter?

Good decision. Here’s the help on offer:

In 2023, I’ll be working with my “Locker Room” group – a carefully cultivated collection of business owners – doing everything in my power to ensure that they have the most successful 12 months possible.

And if you’re a good fit, I’d love you to join the group, and take one of the five available spots around the table.

What is The Locker Room and why does it exist?

If you know me, you’ll know my background is sports. Tennis, specifically.

I started off as a tennis coach, working my way up the LTA ranks and running my own tennis coaching businesses.

And over time, I started to realise the innate similarities between tennis and business.

The importance of having all of the physical attributes to succeed, fused with the hugely important psychological side of the game.

And what I began to understand was that so many of the coaching principles I used to achieve fantastic results on the court were just as applicable in the boardroom.

I started off coaching a handful of business owners, 1:1, using the same principles I’d used with my players, and the results spoke for themselves.

Businesses grew. Revenue and profit were generated. Time freedom was achieved.

And let me tell you: that felt good.

Winning At Business Podcast

I’d always experienced euphoria when a player I was coaching “got it” – they nailed a particular stroke, or won an important tournament.

But this was on a different level.

All of a sudden I was having a transformative, life-changing impact, not just on the fortunes of a tennis match, but on someone’s entire LIFE.

  • Their ability to take time off to pick up the kids.
  • Their prospects of going on the holiday of their dreams.
  • Their chances of moving to their dream home, retiring early, or just to be able to work when they want and how they want.
"Working with Ash has been fantastic. He’s helped me get clarity. To get into the nitty gritty of the business issues and how to fix those. I would recommend working with him… I’m much more in control of my business and confident about how to move it forward to the next level."
Rachael Naylor | The Voiceover Network

I found it addictive, and wanted to do more of it.

I cast the net out, got more clients, and did more of the same, all the while finding it hugely fulfilling.

Then came the moment of realisation.

One day I decided to invite all of my clients together, in one place, for a day of coaching and learning.

Up until then, it’d been a 1:1 relationship, but I figured I’d see what happened when I put them all around a table.

The results were unlike anything I’d expected – there was a buzz and vibrancy in the air, an energy that you could just feel.

And most importantly, my clients got a huge amount from it.

I quickly realised that while it was critical that I continued working 1:1 with my clients, providing them with bespoke and personal support, it was just as critical to bring them together so they could learn from each other, encourage and inspire one another and get the motivation they needed to keep on going and keep on growing.

So The Locker Room was born – an exclusive group of business owners, led, coached and mentored by me.

And if you’re thinking ‘just another mastermind’ where you get half an hour of my time every two months and nothing in between, think again.

The Locker Room is an all-inclusive way of working with me:

  • Get to be part of the group and access their help and support in-person and online
  • Get bespoke personal support from me whenever you want it
  • Get access to my extensive network of specialists in the business growth space

When you become a Locker Room client, you get the whole shebang – me, on tap, and a group of smart and switched-on business owners for you to lean on, get answers from and be accountable to.

Let’s face it, “business coaching” is a pretty airy-fairy phrase.

It means a million different things to people, and consequently, it can be hard to articulate exactly ‘what you get’.

And it’s no different with The Locker Room – the experience is slightly different for every single client:

Some clients call me every fortnight, and I hold them accountable and ensure they’re doing the things they committed to do.

Others just come to our full-day meetings and then crack on implementing the ideas they discovered.

But what I can tell you is that you’ll get what you NEED, whether it’s accountability, motivation, performance management, advice on what to do or what not to do – whatever it is that’ll help you move the needle, I’ll make sure you get it.

"Working with Ash transformed the way I think about my business. His approach is knowledgeable, passionate and firm enough to make you realise the dream you want to reach can become reality."
Becca Cranfield | Athena Stonecare

And just to be clear this is NOT all about money.

I learnt long ago that life isn’t about money, that getting rich won’t make you happy, but also that there’s nothing wrong with ambition and wanting a better life for you and your family.

That’s why my focus isn’t purely on revenue and profit.

Instead, it’s about helping YOU achieve what YOU want to.

  • If you want more money, I’ll help you put together a plan to achieve it.
  • If it’s working fewer hours, so you can spend more time with the people you love on the things you love, we’ll come up with a strategy to get there.
  • If it’s less stress or reliance on you in the business, well then, yep, you’ve guessed it – we’ll do whatever it takes to help you succeed.

Whatever you’re after, The Locker Room is the best place to help you achieve it.

"As a business we’ve grown from a team of 2 to 22 in 18 months and we’re now generating much more per month as we were per year before starting work together."
Tom Welbourne | The Good Marketer

What’s my skillset?

Good question. A bit of everything, and you know what? I wear that as a badge of honour.

In my opinion the worst “coaches” are the ones who only have one set way of doing things – one marketing method, one company structure – that they enforce upon you.

That’s not me.

I don’t focus exclusively on marketing, but I know a lot about it.

I’m not just a “sales guy”, but I’ve been selling all my life.

I’m not one of those “management consultants”, but I’ve got decades of experience in managing teams.

In short, I’ve got a wide breadth of experience, and you’ll get that on tap.

How do you access that experience? Here’s how:

Ash Taylor, Business Coach

You can join The Locker Room at any time.

It kicks off with a strategic session, in my office, at my house. We’ll get to know your business inside and out, plus have a chat about your goals and desires. The idea is to find out what’s important to you AND work out what you won’t tolerate so that our relationship gets off on the right foot.

Half a day of my time is £750+, but this is included in the Locker Room membership.

1:1 personal support whenever you need it

Some members have quarterly board meetings, some have regular Zoom calls, some I only hear from when they’ve got a question. Others want to use me as a sounding board for accountability.

The point is – it’s your journey. We’ll work together in the way that suits you best. I’ve found that players and business owners thrive when they’re given the autonomy and discretion to shape their own programme.

Whether it’s on Zoom, over the phone, in a coffee shop or at my house, with hand-ground coffee and biscuits, the outcome is the same. It’s about creating the perfect environment for you to succeed in.

And it’s not one of those arrangements where you have to book in a call, and the only availability is in three weeks’ time – you’ll have my mobile number, you can call or WhatsApp me whenever you want, and if I can’t answer straight away I’ll squeeze you in just as soon as I possibly can.

10 full day Locker Room Meetings

Exactly as it says on the tin – you’ll be with us all day.

The agenda is shaped by your questions in tandem with the observations I’ve made when working with you. We’ll have a Mastermind element within the meeting, delving into potential opportunities and paying close attention to any challenges you might face so that everyone benefits.

The topics are relevant and practical, and can be shaped by you – if you’ve got something you really want to focus on, let me know and I’ll make sure we cover it.

Sadly, I can’t fit everyone around my dining table (unless you fancy an overly competitive game of musical chairs) so the meetings are held at a lovely venue in South Buckinghamshire.

Get yourself there, cover any accommodation and I’ll take care of the rest.

Locker Room Socials

My clients have become my friends.

They’ve invested in me, and I’ve invested in them. I’ll let you in on a little secret – I only like working with people I like. When we’re working so closely with each other, that personal relationship is vital.

People who are team players, who enjoy life, and who are passionate about being better, all while having fun – that’s who I really love working with.

Sound like you? Good! That’s a great place to start.

If I’m doing anything fun, you’ll be getting an invite. It’s a great way to spend time together. You can pick my brain if you want, but the main thing is to have some fun!

The reason? All of my best ideas have come to me when I’m doing things outside of the business with other business owners. Days at the cricket, playing golf, enjoying an outdoor festival, or whatever it may be – I’d love you to be there.

Locker Room Network

I’ve been in business a long time, and met a lot of smart people.

The result is that my little black book is extensive, and I can put you in touch with people who’ll help you with pretty much anything related to business.

Some of them are on my team, which means you can get some help included gratis too.

"Ash guides me to make my own decisions and set goals that will stretch me. We have worked a lot on moving me from unconsciously incompetent to consciously competent. The business is much more focused. We’re more sophisticated and we’re growing. I have so much clarity — I feel like the owner now, and not an employee."
Ellen Long | Wiser Interiors

What sort of results can I expect as a Locker Room member?

Most of my clients have been with me for 4, 5, or even 6 years. Why? Because they get results.

Like the Digital Marketer who went from £5k/month to £50k/month in under a year during his third year of trading.

Or the member who didn’t sell anything for 6 months, nearly lost everything, ended up selling her business for a profit and started a new highly profitable venture – all during the Covid-era.

Or maybe the reluctant leader of 20 years who launched a new brand, got 3000 downloads of a brand-new podcast in 3 weeks (that’s more than me after 18 months), increased his team by 7, moved to bigger premises, turned down a job at No.10 and is on track to break even after the most financially and personally challenging year of his life.

And my favourite (don’t tell the others) the couple who’ve had their best year EVER despite not being able to trade for 5 months.

All these are people who’ve benefited from the community, shared values and work ethic of the Locker Room.

Your Commitment to Partnership

When you join The Locker Room, you’re committing to a partnership with me, and with the group.

I’m not going to wave a magic wand and transform your business overnight, but over time, we will make genuine, tangible improvements to your business, of that I’m absolutely sure.

As a result, there’s no contract, small print, or tie-in – I only want to work with people who want to work with me.

However, I do ask for a 6-month commitment, at least in your head, it takes time to get results, so if you’re expecting to come in and revolutionise your business in two weeks, this isn’t for you.

Your Investment

In 2023, the investment for The Locker Room is £850 per month, and £950 for couples (we’ve a got a few of them!).

However, when you come on board before 6pm on November 21st, you’ll lock in your membership at the 2022 rate, which means you’ll pay just £750 a month for as long as you’re a member, saving yourself £100 every single month.

And that’s not all:

  • BONUS #1 – No Setup Fee (save £500)

There’s a lot of upfront work that goes into onboarding a new Locker Room client, all with the aim of ensuring you have the best possible start and we hit the ground running.

As a result, we usually charge a Setup Fee of £500, but when you join us before 6pm on November 21st, we’ll waive your entire set-up fee.

  • BONUS #2 – One Month Free (save £750)

Get your application in before 6pm on November 21st and we’ll take your first payment immediately to secure your place, but when you won’t pay again until February, giving you a month of The Locker Room, absolutely FREE.

Oh, and you’re very sure that this is for you, you’ll want to move even faster than that…

Apply before 6pm on Monday 14th November, not only will you secure your place at 2022 prices AND get the two bonuses, I’ll also upgrade your half-day strategic session to a full-day worth £1,250 – giving you another three hours of our time, and diving into deeper into your business.

Your Application

One of the joys of business is the right to choose.

I want to work with people I like, respect and believe I can help. I watched many Tennis Coaches commit to players they shouldn’t have and hang on to players too long.

I want to get every partnership right because I want to foster the right culture within the group. And in all honesty, I want us to have a long friendship too.

If we already know each other, just send me a WhatsApp, text, email, message, or call me. I probably already know whether you’re the right fit, and we can go from there.

If you don’t already know me, book a call, and we can have a chat to see if The Locker Room is for you.

"‘Working with Ash has allowed us to take much more time out from day-to-day operations and given us space to work on the business rather than just in it. Now we are building our business around us rather than the other way round."

It’s Decision Time

Look, if you’ve read this far, you’re interested.

Interested in growing yourself and your business. Interested in improving your lot for you and your family.

So book a call, and let’s talk.

If we’re not right for each other, it’s likely to be pretty obvious by the time we’ve talked for 15 minutes.

There’ll be zero hard sell, and no hard feelings if we talk and decide it’s not for you.

But if you don’t book your call and the deadlines pass, the bonuses expire – them’s the breaks.

So, time to make a decision – are you going to take steps to ensure that 2023 doesn’t swallow you up, and instead is your best year ever?

If so, you know what to do. Thanks for reading.
